Christy Martinez-Garcia & Frank Garcia "Service Above Self" Scholarship - This scholarship is provided to a student who is active in their community. Re-opens in 2025
Julio & Rosa Llanas Scholarship - This scholarship is provided to a student in the fall who is currently enrolled in college, and encourages retention, and offers support to obtain their degree. Must have a 3.0 GPA. Re-opens in 2025
Ortiz "Pass It On" Scholarship - This scholarship is provided to a student raised by a single mother. Re-opens in 2025
Starcare Scholarship - This scholarship is provided to a student who is active in their community. Re-opens in 2025
Amaris Garcia Scholarship - This scholarship is provided to a student who is active in their community. Re-opens in 2025
Charles A. & Grace Guy Scholarship This scholarship was established by Mr. & Mrs. Ray Diekemper in memory of Mr. Charles Guy, civic leader and former editor of the Lubbock AJ.
ELIGIBILITY: Students majoring in Journalism in the Mass Communications Department, College of Arts and Sciences at Texas Tech University

John T. Montford Scholarship This scholarship fund was established through contributions to the 2001 Hero’s Luncheon honoring former State Senator and Texas Tech University Chancellor John Montford.
ELIGIBILITY: Students at Texas Tech University and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (one award per school)

Fallen Heroes Fund Scholarship The Community Foundation of West Texas has established the Fallen Heroes Fund to assist with educational expenses of dependent survivors of service men and women and first responders who have died on active duty since September 11, 2001. Dependent survivors include spouses, sons, and daughters (biological, adopted, or stepchildren). The scholarships are available as supplements to financial aid and survivor educational benefits. The applicant may be registered as a full or part-time student. Scholarship funding will not exceed the cost of a four-year degree at Texas Tech University. Use the following link to apply:

HAW Scholarship will be given to high school and college females in the Lubbock area. Opening in 2025
Raiders Rojos Scholarship retention scholarships for Texas Tech University students who have completed at least one full semester of study at Texas Tech and have met the minimum cumulative GPA requirement of 3.25. Opening in 2025
Knights of Columbus 11807 Scholarship (10) $1,000 scholarships will be given to high school students. Opening in 2025
L. Edwin Smith Tuition Scholarship This fund was established by Mr. & Mrs. Ray Diekemper to honor Mr. L. Edwin Smith, a distinguished alumnus of the Texas Tech University accounting program. ELIGIBILITY:

Roy Voyles Scholarship was established by his family to honor his memory. Mr. Voyles was a very hardworking, self-taught (by reading every manual he ever had!) and wise man. He taught evening classes at South Plains College teaching the HVAC class.
ELIGIBILITY:
Without discrimination toward race or sex, the following eligibility requirements shall apply to candidates for the Roy Voyles Scholarship:
- Enrolled in the Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Technology program at South Plains College.
- GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Work part-time while attending school
- Demonstrated financial need

Lubbock Optimist Club Phoenix Award Scholarship This scholarship was created for Lubbock and South Plains area graduating high school seniors planning to attend a post-secondary institution. Students must be "At Risk", have dropped out of school, overcame obstacles and difficulties, and have returned to high school to graduate, and show academic performance. Due date, number of awards, and award amount may vary. Please contact your school guidance counselor or the Community Foundation for more information and application.
Woman-to-Woman Scholarship This scholarship fund was established by Dr. Lou Diekemper in order to provide support for women who are 50 years of age or older and find themselves in need of additional education or vocational training in order to obtain employment or to make a needed change in their current employment situation.
ELIGIBILITY: South Plains resident who will be attending a South Plains college/university or vocational training program
SELECTION CRITERIA:
- Women 50 years of age or older
- Financial need
- Desire to obtain an undergraduate degree or certificate
